Hieroglyphs and the Insanity Principle

This two-day‬ workshop presented by Linda Sibio introduces the language of the insane, the homeless, and the oppressed — hieroglyphs that use images that reflect these groups. On the first day, participants will create their own hieroglyphic story and a 5-minute performance piece. The session includes relaxation exercises and reveals connections between body movement, sounds and voice extensions. Participants will learn how to think like a schizophrenic.‬ On the second day, participants will develop a 15-minute multimedia piece with visual, performance, and written elements. The end of the workshop is open to the public for performance, celebration, and discussion.
