Open House for Angus McCullough, artist in residence
Saturday, February 6, 2016 3-6pm, artist talk at 4pm @BoxoHOUSE

Angus McCullough has been in residence at BoxoHOUSE for just under a month – one full moon cycle. In that time, he has begun a large project dealing with the nature of space-time from a personal perspective. His work here includes themes of travel, cycles of personal histories, celestial movement, astrophysics, philosophy and much more. You are invited to see the work in process: multi-channel video, writing, sculpture, drawings, and most importantly, their interconnection. The open house will include an artist talk, reading, and possibly a performance from the Geosynchronous Quartet.

Angus McCullough is a designer and a maker whose practice involves extensive research and a multidisciplinary approach to dissecting contemporary ideologies. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, he is currently based in North Bennington, Vermont. His work has been shown in the United States and abroad, including The Bronx Museum of the Arts, the Bennington Museum, Burlington City Arts, Buoy gallery, Salem Art Works, Roman Susan gallery, Momenta Art, Judson Memorial Church, and The Lust Gallery. He has been an artist in residence at the Vermont Studio Center, VCCA, and ACRE and has beenpublished in the NY Times, the Architectural Record, Landscape Architecture Magazine, Gwarlingo Press, and BF Bifocals.
